What is Tamiya 54032 Gel Thread Lock?

Tamiya 54032 Anaerobic Gel Thread Lock, also known as OP-1032 and EAN 4950344540327, is a gel thread-locking compound for metal components in RC cars and other models. It helps prevent screws from becoming loose due to vibration.

How do you use it?

1. Clean the screw and threaded hole to remove grease, oil and dirt.
2. Apply a very small amount of gel to the metal thread.
3. Insert the screw and tighten it normally.
4. Leave the connection undisturbed according to the instructions on the packaging.

The gel consistency allows accurate application and helps the product remain where it is placed. It is intended mainly for metal-to-metal threaded connections. Wipe it off immediately if it comes into contact with plastic parts.

Where should it be used?

It is suitable for chassis screws, mounts, transmission components and other metal parts exposed to vibration. Do not use it on screws that thread directly into plastic.
